Pappardelle's fun name comes from the verb "pappare," which means to "eat with childish joy and pleasure", are large, very broad, flat pasta noodles, similar to wide fettuccine, originating from the region of Tuscany. The fresh types are two to three centimetres (3⁄4–1 inches) while egg pappardelle have straight sides. If you think long pasta can’t get any wider than fettuccine, think again. Pappardelle pasta noodles are even better at meshing with rich, meat-based sauces. For example, it’s most commonly used in ragu or bolognese, but it’s also great for seafood pasta dishes. It’s big, bad, and sturdy, so you can throw any hearty sauce its way. What it is: Thick, flat ribbons of pasta. Almost like fettuccine, but significantly wider.How to use it: Sturdy pappardelle is built to hold up to sturdy sauces. How long can I store it for? Can I freeze it?
Our pasta can be kept in the fridge for 3 day after delivery. So, if your pasta is delivered on a Monday it should be consumed by the end of Thursday.
Alternatively, freeze your pasta on the day of delivery for up to two months. Your recipe card will include details on how to defrost your dishes safely. As general guidelines, to prepare frozen fresh pasta, cook directly from frozen and allow slightly longer (usually around 1-2 minutes more) in the boiling water.
